Bank Jatim Wins Digital Innovation Award 2026 for Successful JConnect Transformation

JAKARTA, May 22, 2026 – Bank Jatim has once again achieved a remarkable milestone. On Friday evening (May 22), Bank Jatim received the Digital Innovation in Business Transformation award at the Digital Innovation Award 2026, organized by iNews Media. Held at iNews Tower Jakarta, the award was presented by Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections, Yusril Ihza Mahendra, and was accepted directly by Bank Jatim’s Director of Information Technology, Digital & Operations, Wiweko Probojakti.
Wiweko, affectionately known as Dodit, explained that the award serves as recognition of Bank Jatim’s commitment to continuously implementing digital-based business transformation while strengthening its position as one of Indonesia’s leading regional development banks in digital financial service innovation.
On the occasion, Dodit expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the award. According to him, the achievement reflects the collective efforts of all Jatimers in delivering service transformation that adapts to technological advancements and customer needs through JConnect.
"This award will certainly motivate us to continue delivering digital innovations that provide greater convenience, speed, and comfort for the public. Bank Jatim’s business transformation is not only focused on strengthening technology but also on enhancing service quality and customer experience," he said.
Dodit explained that the award was granted because Bank Jatim has demonstrated rapid progress in developing its digital ecosystem through JConnect Mobile. The company was recognized for successfully introducing innovations that strengthen the digitalization of financial services through a modern banking platform that integrates various financial transaction needs into a single digital channel.
The growth of JConnect users has also become a key indicator of Bank Jatim’s digital acceleration. Throughout 2025, JConnect Mobile users reached 993,972, representing a 22.40% year-on-year (YoY) increase. Meanwhile, the total transaction value reached IDR 65.77 trillion, up 29.55% YoY.
In addition, JConnect IB Corporate users reached 11,199, an increase of 14.79% YoY, with a transaction value of IDR 23.36 trillion. Bank Jatim’s QRIS service also recorded 203,725 users, with transaction values reaching IDR 3.94 trillion, growing 47.25% YoY.
"Earlier this May, Bank Jatim successfully launched the latest version of JConnect. With this enhancement, we are targeting 2 million JConnect users by the end of 2026," Dodit stated.
The latest version of JConnect introduces 36 flagship features, developed based on customer needs and feedback (voice of customer). These include the ability to change passwords without visiting a branch office, biometric login functionality for greater convenience and security, and integrated electronic money card top-up services within the application.
"JConnect is no longer merely a mobile banking application for transfers and payments. It has evolved into a comprehensive financial platform that customers can use for their daily needs, ranging from transactions and bill payments to more practical financial management within a single application," he explained.
Furthermore, Dodit noted that through JConnect, Bank Jatim has successfully expanded its market reach to the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) sector as well as corporate clients. Various features within JConnect facilitate access to financing, financial management, and reinforce Bank Jatim’s role as a digital partner within the business ecosystem.
"Digitalization remains the Company’s primary focus in expanding access to banking services. We believe that digitalization is the key to delivering more inclusive and accessible financial services. Going forward, Bank Jatim will continue strengthening cross-sector collaboration to support the digital economic ecosystem in East Java and across Indonesia," he added.
