SURABAYA, February 26, 2026. JConnect Ramadan Vaganza 2026 was officially opened on Wednesday (25/2) by the President Director of Suara Surabaya, Verry Firmansyah; the Second Assistant for Economy and Development of the Surabaya City Government, Syamsul Hariadi; and Vice President of Funds and Services, Yetty Fitria S.

Held at Taman Surya, Surabaya City Hall, this event was made possible through a collaboration between PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim), the Surabaya City Government, and Suara Surabaya.

The President Director of Bank Jatim, Winardi Legowo, explained that JConnect Ramadan Vaganza 2026 is an annual event in Surabaya featuring a series of spiritual activities, ngabuburit (waiting for iftar) recreation, and MSME empowerment. The event serves as an inclusive space for community interaction while simultaneously strengthening Surabaya's local potential during the holy month. "Through this collaboration between Bank Jatim, Suara Surabaya, and the Surabaya City Government, we hope this activity creates synergy between the community, business actors, and stakeholders to celebrate Ramadan in an orderly, safe, and productive manner," he stated.

Winardi added that JConnect Ramadan Vaganza 2026 also serves as a platform to encourage the use of QRIS. All purchase transactions in the bazaar area are conducted using Bank Jatim QRIS as part of the "Racing Merchant QRIS" program. Furthermore, Winardi continued, Bank Jatim's presence in this event is beneficial for improving financial literacy and inclusion among the public.

"We are here to support the participating MSMEs so they have a platform to create and grow their businesses even further. Naturally, this event offers numerous business benefits for us, including increasing New Open Accounts (NOA), new e-channel users, and managing new QRIS merchants. It also boosts the volume and nominal value of Bank Jatim QRIS transactions, as the event targets one thousand visitors per day," he explained.

Meanwhile, Syamsul Hariadi emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration in driving the city's economy. According to him, this synergy is not just about publication but about building optimism and providing a positive space for the community. "We want Surabaya's MSMEs to 'level up' and for local products to become better known. The Surabaya City Government is committed to supporting collaborative movements aimed at improving community welfare," he asserted.

Syamsul hopes that JConnect Ramadan Vaganza 2026 will have a tangible economic impact on MSMEs in Surabaya. "The Ramadan Bazaar can also be an option for citizens to spend time before breaking their fast. We hope that through this activity, the economic wheels of MSMEs will continue to turn faster," he concluded.

The event, which involves more than 100 tenants, runs from February 25, 2026, to March 1, 2026. Beyond its functional aspects, the event offers a new experience by featuring a hot air balloon ride at City Hall for the first time. As a primary draw for visitors using services or shopping, the committee has prepared a grand prize consisting of an Umrah trip for one winner, as well as electronic prizes such as smartwatches and earphones (with taxes fully borne by the winner).

To enter the Umrah grand prize draw, visitors can exchange a minimum shopping receipt of Rp25,000 for one coupon, or participate in the Bank Jatim Stamp Challenge. Through this challenge, citizens simply need to open an account, activate the JConnect application, and spend a minimum of Rp200,000 to instantly receive 25 lottery coupons.
